Technical Support Engineer Edinburgh, SA About the opportunity Airbus Australia has an opportunity for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh, SA. The Technical Support Engineer (TSE) fulfils the role of the technical interface between Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply teams. About the role Reporting to the Team Lead Configuration & Tech Services, the TSE is responsible for analysing and documenting applicable requirements in support of continued airworthiness. The TSE will be involved in a variety of tasks including but not limited to: Identification and management of Aeronautical Product (AP) Maintaining the approved Authority to Fit (ATF) systems, both Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and Commonwealth Conduct of Technical Spares Assessment, Stock Assessment and Cataloguing Services initiated by Supply to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities, contractual and organisational requirements As the TSE, you will work closely with the Material Support and Logistics Teams (MS&L), and Support & Test Equipment Inventory Managers (S&TEIMs) regarding inventory management issues to ensure aeronautical product is authorised, correctly documented and serviceable prior to acceptance into stores. The TSE is required to document and investigate all failures thoroughly and may involve engagement with Subject Matter Experts (SME), contractors, OEM's and industry partner Part 21J staff. The TSE in conjunction with Engineering, will produce mitigation strategies and Engineering Instructions directing maintenance activities to ensure compliance with the Certificate Baseline of the aircraft. The applicant also needs to demonstrate an understand of an Integrated Logistics System and how Technical Support fits into the concept, and the impact on Airworthiness and aircraft availability. About you To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed stakeholder engagement skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.
