See yourself in our team Business Banking Technology is responsible for the world-leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank - from innovative product platforms for our customers, to essential tools within our business. As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading, promoting continuous improvement, developing technical roadmaps, and improving the quality of technical solutions by implementing industry best practises. You'll also work closely with other technical leaders and product owners to document new changes and drive various initiatives. It will be key that you are able communicate well with the rest of the squad members, provide technical guidance and mentoring to the engineers in the team, while being exposed to some interesting challenges. Also, you'll be involved in all aspects of the delivery from solution design and development to production rollout. Demonstrate a clear understanding of how to drive projects to completion-ensuring products are shipped, tested, and meticulously considered. In essence, we are looking for a dynamic individual who is not only technically proficient but also a visionary leader and a collaborative team player, committed to driving excellence and innovation. Tech Skills: We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team: Frontend: React and Redux. Backend: C# on .NET Core Database: SQL and NoSQL experience Infrastructure as code. AWS Hands-on experience Microservices design and implementation of highly scalable APIs. At least one scripting/programming language (i.e. JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Python). CI/CD tools (i.e. GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus). Automated Quality Engineering and Testing (Unit Testing, Regression Testing). Any experience with the following would be great - Configuration Management, Application Security, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Observability tools.
