Novotel & ibis Darling Harbour is seeking a Conference & Events Sales Coordinator to join our team. You will co-ordinate contracted conference and events through the customer journey cycle till post-event follow-up in order to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business. If you have a passion for hospitality, enjoy working with people and have outstanding customer service we would like to hear from you Communicate with and finalise event details with our clients on secured business, including compilation of event order through to on-site management of the event and appropriate post event follow up. Prepare proposals using up to date knowledge on rates, packages, operational details and competitors. Pro-actively follow up on proposals and use skilled negotiation with clients to win the business and achieve team targets. Upsell conference & events packages and drive all revenue opportunities. Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and meeting managers, to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. To host successful familiarisations and site inspections with prospective clients. Qualifications To be successful in this role, You will demonstrate the ability to excel in a fast-paced business environment. Have excellent presentation & communication skills along with exceptional client relationship skills while representing the venue to new and potential clients. Highly organised and be able to juggle multiple tasks As an entry role into the world of sales, previous hotel experience in events or hotel operations is highly valued.
