Rubix Solutions, is seeking an experienced SAP HANA/BASIS Consultant Location: Canberra Commencement Date: Mid-August Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract with the possibility of 2 x 12-month extensions Rubix Solutions, is seeking an experienced SAP HANA/BASIS Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive SAP platform knowledge to provide expert advice and support for the Agency's SAP systems. This role requires a commitment to ensuring the security and optimal performance of technical operations. Some out-of-hours work may be necessary to complete scheduled tasks or manage complex incidents, with the option for time off in lieu (TOIL). Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily system health checks of production systems and address performance issues before business hours. Initiate in-house tests during health checks, troubleshoot, and resolve identified issues. Implement root cause analysis, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting SAP landscapes. Monitor SAP Java systems to manage system capacity and availability. Monitor database load and activities, taking preventive measures to maintain optimal response times. Create task cards for activities/issues requiring regular intervention by multiple staff for quick resolution. Assist with system patching, kernel upgrades, and SAP HANA system administration tasks such as health checks and upgrades. Perform table replication using SAP Landscape Transformation server for real-time or scheduled data replication. Monitor and troubleshoot HANA Workload Management (WLM) and dashboard applications via system replication. Manage change processes including assessment, RFC logging, emergency change implementation, scheduling, deployment, and post-implementation review. Provide technical assistance in resolving issues related to Business Objects, DQM, and Data Services. Develop detailed cutover checklists and project plans, and manage cutover project plans according to standards. Work with system owners to develop test scopes, prepare for testing, and ensure remediation. Provide cutover status reporting to project leadership and key stakeholders. Monitor and manage system availability and load using third-party tools (e.g., DCRUM, Dynatrace AppMon, NAM, Watch4Net, Kibana, Grafana). Collaborate with the Network Operations team to monitor and resolve production system issues. Provide system support and perform technical troubleshooting to ensure 24/7 system availability, including incident on-call support during non-business hours. Troubleshoot SAP Business solutions including CRM, ERP, SRM, S/4HANA, IDM, Fraud Management, BI/BW, BOBJ, BODS, DQM, and ESS. Assist with issues related to migration, implementation, and post-Go-Live activities. Resolve production incidents logged via OpenText Service Manager. Mandatory Criteria: Minimum of 5 years of SAP BASIS experience in a large and complex environment. Experience with HANA and DB2 on Z as the database platform for SAP applications. Weighted Criteria: Experience with multiple SAP Technologies (e.g., CRM, PSCD, ERP, Java, HANA). Experience implementing Early Watch Alert recommendations. Expertise in SAP ABAP and HANA performance tuning. Proven ability in incident resolution and root cause analysis. Knowledge of Services Australia business processes and architecture model. Experience with SAP system upgrades and associated tasks. Familiarity with data archiving and OpenText solutions.
