The Public Transport Authority (PTA) of Western Australia is looking for a dedicated individual to join us in the role of Data Administrator for the Transperth Route Information System (TRIS). The Transperth System, Regional Town and School Bus Services (TRSBS) Division of the PTA has an exciting opportunity available and is seeking applications from highly motivated & dynamic individuals. About the Role As a Data Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our Transperth Route Information System. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the day-to-day administration of TRIS to ensure accurate and current data. Inputting and analysing data using statistical analysis and other techniques. Monitoring data validity and investigating and reporting any issues that arise. Supporting the Transperth Call Centre systems and operations. Providing reports and statistics related to data content. Training and assisting system users in extracting information from TRIS. Responding to queries and providing advice on TRIS operations, data collection, and distribution. Participating in initiatives to enhance data collection and compatibility with subsidiary systems. About You To succeed in this role, you should possess: Experience in data input, validation, and analysis using various software solutions. Proficiency in spatial data capture, validation, and analysis using GIS software and Excel. Knowledge of public transport scheduling and ticketing systems (experience with Transperth systems is advantageous). Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to ensure data accuracy and resolve issues promptly. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a demonstrated capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Possession of a current Western Australian 'C' or 'C-A' Class Driver's Licence or equivalent.
