Your business: The Technology division delivers the group's information technology and banking operation functions to ensure the highest levels of customer service through world-class process excellence and technology innovation. Cyber Security protects the bank and our customers from theft, loss, and risk events, through effective and proactive management of cyber security, privacy, and operational risk. Your new team: The newly formed Application and Service Protection Crew is responsible for protecting many of the banks key cyber security systems. Through both run and change initiatives the team has an important impact in protecting our customers and end-users on over fifty thousand endpoints and tens of thousands of servers. One of the key initiatives within this team is the implementation of an API Security solution, a fully automated and AI (Artificial Intelligence) based API security platform that will look to reduce future vulnerabilities and security breaches across the business. Your impact and contribution: As the Cyber Security Engineer your focus will be to build, implement, and uplift a variety of security functions and services across our cloud platforms on AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure and private cloud, and be the key point of contact when building and consulting on API and cloud security. This will link to our API Security solution, platform where you be assisting on future configurations to ensure the safety across the wider organisation. Through this role you will use your creative, resilient, and energetic mindset to solve problems in an ever-changing environment. You will also: Work on key cloud security initiatives and services primarily across AWS, Azure, and private cloud. Build and consulting on key API security solutions. Support on configuration across the business' API security platform. Help develop the enterprise environment that will secure the bank's API's. Configure new tools to work effectively and precisely thereby ensuring optimal performance of service. Guarantee the new service is robust, can be continually improved, and technically current. Support configuring and troubleshooting integrations with multiple traffic sources. Effectively operating in a DevSecOps environment. We are interested in people who: Bring experience working within cyber security engineering and have a thorough understanding of API and cloud security. You are proficient in AWS and or Azure and have extensive expertise in building and consulting across API security services and solutions. You will bring: Proficiency across cloud security including Azure and AWS (desirable). Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps (essential) Experience building and designing API security solutions across a complex cyber landscape (desirable). Good working knowledge of networks, cloud, and the way that modern application operate in this landscape.
