10 12 month contract - Immediate Start $75 - $115 per hour (inc-Super) Baseline Security Clearance mandatory Multiple positions available Our client, a large, Federal Government organisation, are Seeking the experience of multiple Solution Designer(s) (SQL, Python, Powershell) for a 1012 month contract, based in Canberra ACT. Duties of the Solution Designer (SQL, Python, Powershell) Contribute to high-level conceptual solution architecture to modernise core legacy systems. Be the solution bridge between business and user goals and system constraints. Create detailed solution plans, including evaluating existing technologies, resource allocation, timelines, and estimates for projects. Present proposed architecture to architecture committees, effectively communicating key concepts and assumptions. Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities. Work closely with project stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business objectives. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams including scrum masters, business analysts, data scientists/ etc. Skills and Experience Required 5 years of experience as a solution designer or similar role. Proven experience in leading and managing technical projects. Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile preferred). Proven experience in designing and implementing technical solutions from concept to completion with the focus to replace existing legacy systems. Proficiency in creating solution plans, estimates, and resource allocations for projects. In-depth knowledge of Java, React, Node.js, and API development. Strong Microsoft Azure architecture & design skills. Experience working with different data platforms including, Azure SQL Server / Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake / AWS Redshift / Google Big Query / Databricks, PowerBI / Tableau / Business Objects / etc Familiar with one or more of the following programming languages: SQL (must have); Python (highly desirable); Microsoft PowerShell (highly desirable); Unix shell scripting; DAX. Experience working with front-end web frameworks such as Blazor .NET (desired).
