We have an opportunity for a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our project team on the Palm Beach to Tugun project on the Gold Coast. The Pacific Motorway (M1) between Palm Beach and Tugun (Package C) is the third and final section of the M1 Pacific Motorway Varsity Lakes to Tugun (VL2T) upgrade. We are proud to be delivering this highly complex civil infrastructure project on the Gold Coast and we would love you to be a part of it. Works include: Upgrade of the motorway from 4 to 6 lanes. Lengthening of entry ramps and exit ramps. Demolition of the existing bridges. Construction of 7 new bridges and widening of 3 bridges. Reconfiguration and upgrades of intersections. Construction of retaining walls, signals, noise fences, road lighting, and smart motorway infrastructure. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all construction activities meet the established quality standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining excellence in every phase of the project. About the role: Completing onsite inspections/audits to ensure compliance with the quality plan of all site Operations. Completing audits of subcontractors/suppliers to the project. Promoting awareness of and training in the QMS to project staff. Maintenance of the QMS documentation including the Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans, and Process Method Statements. Ensure that QMS documentation required to be provided by subcontractors and suppliers meets specified requirements. Ensure that independent lot review and closure is used on the project. Oversee the management of Monitoring and Measuring Equipment on the project. Oversee the management of document control on the project. Manage the Measurable Quality Objectives established for the project. Generate relevant QMS reports required for all stakeholders. The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience: Demonstrated experience as a quality assurance professional for engineering and/or civil construction. Tertiary Engineering qualifications preferred. Working knowledge of client standards and specifications. Experience in civil construction and Quality Management Systems. Current driver's license.
