Our business is growing, our Technology team is growing, and as such are delighted to announce that we are inviting applications for the exciting opportunity of Software Engineer. Working alongside our team in our global head offices in Windsor, Brisbane, Monday to Friday, the primary responsibility of the Software Engineer is to participate in the development and implementation of software products developed. As part of this position, the Software Engineer is required to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, sustain, and document software changes for new products, enhancements, and defects. The Software Engineer will work with a team to provide software engineering excellence within an iterative and incremental approach supported by agile engineering practices. What you will be doing Design, develop and test software for GroundProbe's current and future products Identify and create software requirements for development of new products and changes to released products Aid in troubleshooting, diagnosing and correcting of software problems Participate in project planning activities, sizing of work tasks Participate in all facets of the software development life cycle (from the initial concept to the final release) Perform unit testing of software components Document code consistently throughout the development process by providing adequate comments to the code, the source control, and issue tracking system Create documentation to support each phase of the software development What you will bring University Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline; Master's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline (desirable but not mandatory); Ability to contribute to project teams to achieve the best possible outcome; Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written); High self-motivation, with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work strongly within a tight-knit and high-performing team. Technical Skills Familiarity with C# using Microsoft technologies (Visual Studio); Front-end web development with React or similar; Strong technical writing skills; Excellent interpersonal and comunication skills, particularly verbal and documentation skills; Highly motivated individual, able to set priorities and meet deadlines, and a strong team player; Desire to learn new languages, technologies, and best practices.
