As the Digital Designer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day design and production of the Qantas digital collateral, within the Qantas Airline Brand Marketing Creative Studio. In this role, you will be creating and editing digital static and motion content for marketing, advertising, social media, events, and both internal and external communications, with key responsibility being building and managing dynamic digital display banners using HTML5 code, JavaScript and CSS. Ability to create high-end complex animations and motion graphics in After Effects, will be highly regarded. This is a great opportunity for someone to take the lead in this space, bringing digital best practice knowledge and provide digital design/content advice to other business units within Qantas. You'll have - 5 years' experience as a Digital Designer, in an agency or in-house setting. Tertiary qualifications in Digital Communications, Multimedia and/or equivalent industry experience. Proven experience in designing Digital Campaigns (websites, animation/motion graphics, paid social media graphics and banners, HTML5 and dynamic banner ads, email campaigns, and email templates. Confidence navigating JavaScript, DoubleClick Studio, W3C compliant coding techniques including media queries, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility. Advanced Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), Figma, etc. Deep understanding of digital interfaces and technologies, as well as influential and relevant social platforms. Good knowledge in cross device design including websites, mobile sites, tablets and touch screens (responsive design). Knowledge of digital/screen best practice (accessibility, dark-mode, etc.). A strategic understanding of marketing and its role within a large organisation. Must have a great eye for detail (pixel perfect) and design. Excellent ability to consult, analyse issues, process information to provide recommendations. Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce. Excellent organisational skills, with ability to adapt to new ways of working fast. Diligent with naming, filing and other studio conventions.
