Salary packaging, subsidised health and wellbeing services, fitness and cultural clubs, Myki discounts, and a 25% discount on graduate courses to our staff and their immediate families About the Role The Senior Graduate Research Officer (Admissions and Scholarships) at the Graduate Research Office administers admissions and scholarships for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. Reporting to the Graduate Research Team Coordinator, the role provides detailed information and expert advice on selection, admissions, and scholarship policies to prospective and current Graduate Research candidates and staff. This position is essential to enhancing the Graduate Research experience and supports strategic and operational management to foster the Faculty's success. Your responsibilities will include: Provide secretariat support for relevant committees such as the Faculty Graduate Research Selection and Scholarship Committee. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the Faculty, University and affiliated partner institutions. Support the Graduate Research Office to establish effective communications between the Faculty and School/Departments to ensure effective management of graduate research admissions and scholarship administration in the Faculty. Participate in and contribute to coverage of peak period activities across the Graduate Research Team to meet its operational obligations and agreed service levels Who We Are Looking For The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, high-level organisational skills, and the ability to manage workflows and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. They will possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to high-level customer service and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and independently. You will also have: A relevant degree with experience within the higher education sector; or a combination of relevant experience and education/ training. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, develop and deliver solutions to complex problems, or identify new opportunities for improvement where appropriate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present information clearly and to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external to the University. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and new initiatives and to interpret and provide advice on established policies and procedures.
