About the Role: We are looking for an ambitious Interior Designer, with experience working in a fast-paced commercial design environment, to join our thriving Sydney office as part of our award-winning National Interior Design team. This role is to work primarily in the Workspace team, so experience in this sector is highly regarded, although not essential – what’s more important is an interest in large scale workspace strategy, and the capability to fulfill your potential as a designer by working on these types of projects. There will be plenty of opportunity to learn and grow in this role, with wonderful mentors who are at the cutting edge of the design industry. Our interior design team work on projects individually and as a team, managing a project from end to end across multiple sectors including Workspace, Commercial, and Education, so there is the opportunity to hone your skills across various typologies. Vital to our success is our ability to communicate designs and ideas through all mediums including Revit and Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop, Sketchup and more progressive design technology including VR. Our open and light-filled Sydney studio is in the heart of the Sydney CBD, close to trains, buses, and ferries, with onsite showers for those who enjoy riding or running to work. You will become part of our fun-loving, dedicated, and creative team of Architects, Architectural Technicians, Interior Designers and Graphic Design professionals. We have also embraced a Hybrid Working Model, encouraging a mixture of working in the Studio and remotely, to enable you to be as efficient as possible. General Duties: Contribute to all project phases: strategy, concept design, space planning, design development, and documentation, to on-site construction management and contract administration Contribute to client briefings, workshops, design, and design development Create designs and documentation in Revit Prepare presentations and communicate designs in multiple forms; Revit, Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop, Sketchup, VR, etc. Work cohesively in a small and larger team About you: Ideally you have experience working in the workspace sector and are looking for an opportunity to grow and develop further by working on large-scale projects and potentially developing your skills around workspace strategy. As a national Revit firm, you will need strong Revit skills and an ability to produce drawings up to an acceptable level for design development. To be successful in this role you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in interior design or Interior Architecture Minimum of 4 years’ experience as an Interior Designer Strong Revit skills Ability to contribute to all project phases: concept design, space planning, design development, documentation to on-site construction management and contract administration An understanding of the fundamental BCA’s and related building regulations and specifications Strong presentation and rendering skills; Sketch-up, InDesign, Photoshop, Enscape, Rhino, and MS Office Suite will be highly regarded Excellent communication skills and ability to proactively communicate with team members, consultants, and clients Demonstrated proactive and collaborative approach to projects Personal pride and accountability in your work The capacity to work as part of a team with the ability to work autonomously Ability to work on more than one project as required What is on Offer?
