Job Description The primary focus of this role is convening and teaching social work courses, including those which prepare graduates to work in health services and organisations, and supporting the delivery of high-quality social work education that prepares graduates to enter the field with confidence and competence. This role includes supervision of Honours students and Higher Degree Research candidates as well as research/scholarship in learning and teaching. It is expected that applicants will have a well-developed research agenda that aligns with strategic priorities of the School of Health Sciences and Social Work. This will include active engagement with external stakeholders in both research and practice. This is a full time, continuing position based at either the Logan or Gold Coast campus. It is expected that the successful candidate will be available to attend campus in person as a normal requirement of the role. Salary Range The base salary for Lecturer (Level B) is in the range $100,137 - $118,916 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total package is in the range $117,160 - $139,132 per annum. About You To be successful within this role, you will be a social worker who has a proven ability to develop and deliver student-focused learning and teaching in health related and generic social work courses. You will have experience in both on-campus and online teaching. You will possess or be enrolled a doctoral level qualification in a field related to social work, and demonstrate a passion for learning and teaching, and a commitment to research collaboration and supervision. Experience of working and/or researching in clinical/health topics or contexts is highly desirable. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to employability of students as well as supporting diverse students to succeed university. It is a requirement that you are eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work.
