About North East Link The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project. The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project. The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads. About the Opportunity To support the delivery of the North East Link Central Package we are seeking applications from civil roadworks engineers to join the Construction team. You will be a part of an iconic construction project based in Melbourne, Victoria. We have open roles with immediate opportunities for: Project Engineers Senior Project Engineers Time to take your career up a level on this long term metropolitan based project. Create your own opportunities. We are currently looking for Senior Project Engineers & Project Engineers with experience in road works. Brownfield roadworks preferred but not essential. Must have experience in the following disciplines: Detailed earthworks Utilities Drainage Roadside barriers Retaining walls Street lighting, traffic lights, ITS Concrete paving and Gravel & asphalt pavements. Must have experience with VicRoads specifications to similar (TfNSW / Qld Main Roads) Minimum Requirements: Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Civil Contractor Proven experience in successfully delivering packages Background in both self-perform and sub-contractor management Proven record in Safety, Quality and Cost Management High level verbal and written communication skills Self-motivation and drive to achieve value-for-money results. Please be advised that this project is a large scale T1 project with potential for 24/7 shift work, whilst we will aim for weekend work to be split fairly between employees there may be role requirements on occasion for evening shift work.
