Queensland Rail is seeking a dynamic professional to join our Electrical Engineering Delivery team within the role of Senior Project Coordinator. About the team: The team and this role are responsible for project co-ordination activities and control functions for the Electrical Engineering Teams that support the delivery of major and complex safety critical electrical system projects and initiatives. From project concept development to post-commissioning support, the role interacts with project team members to ensure Electrical Engineering deliverables are met, while monitoring budgets and expenses, reporting any discrepancies to the project team. About the role: This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of the whole railway engineering lifecycle from concept design through to commissioning works, while also supporting asset maintenance, reliability and working with operational stakeholders. The Electrical Engineering team is currently working on multiple feeder station upgrade projects, implementing traction changes to support new stations across the SEQ network, and supporting iconic projects such as Cross River Rail (CRR) and European Train Control System (ETCS). Some of the key focus areas for this role includes: Apply Queensland Rail Project Management Methodology and Project Delivery Management System Frameworks to manage cost, time, resources, and quality to ensure each project delivers outcomes consistent with organisational policy, and strategic objectives of business and the Electrical Engineering Team. Facilitate communication and collaboration among different teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Exercise independent decision-making skills to address project challenges and keep initiatives on track. Demonstrate a high level of influence, interpersonal skills, consultation, relationship building, negotiation, and communication across a diverse stakeholder group. What you will bring: A background in the rail industry is preferred but not essential. We also welcome diverse experiences that can bring new perspectives to our team. Significant experience in project management within a multi-disciplinary project management environment in accordance with recognised best practice project management methods. Proven ability to produce and manage high-quality project outputs, ensuring deliverables meet required standards. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Proven ability in negotiation and highly developed communication skills, adept at handling positive and negative feedback from diverse business areas to foster continuous improvement.
