$description RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Functional Manager within Structural you will join an Australia wide team that is based in Perth & Brisbane. Our teams are actively working collaboratively across a diverse range of engineering packages from conceptual studies through to EPCM delivery for local & international developments. Due to recent success, we are commencing early works with a large scale Greenfields battery metal facility based in Europe. This project will be the largest and most sustainable of its kind, leading the way for the development of an integrated battery value chain in Europe, establishing leading technology in their processing methodology for sustainable and efficient production. EPCM kicks off September 2024. As a Lead you will be an integral member of the engineering team and as part of this role, key accountabilities will include: - Oversee discipline design section for specific projects to ensure that designs are in accordance with project time, budget and technical requirements - Responsible for production and/or review of deliverables including models, drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, evaluations - Provide coaching and guidance to discipline and graduate engineers to support the growth and development of their technical knowledge skills and competency alongside business requirements - Active participation and leading of SIL assessment workshops, wood internal & client reviews for design, constructability and safety. - Assurance of tender and supply for designated equipment. - Engage and works cohesively alongside engineer and project delivery leadership - Lead, coaches and mentors a team across key study or project deliverables. - Ensures continuous commitment to safety & HSE requirements, participating in or leads incident investigations as required At Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities. You will have: - Bachelor/Tertiary degree in Structural/Civil from a recognised institute, with prior engineering design experience in wet/dry plant processing or relative industry exposure - Ability to initiate the exchange of required technical concepts and information with the Design team and other disciplines. - A high degree of understanding of inter-discipline dependencies related to the discipline - Demonstrates ability to effectively manage resources (personnel, equipment, materials etc) - Experienced in coaching, mentoring junior engineers. Creating a cohesive working environment - Displays agility in delivery, with ability to adapt and troubleshoot solution's - Effective communication and interpersonal skills for inter-departmental and external company interactions, in addition to ensuring collective understanding of key objectives - A commitment to upholding and driving Safety/HSE standards personally and professionally.
