As a Product Engineer, you will: Lead mechanical and electronic design & development activities on SMARTFactory industry projects Using engineering, planning and trades expertise, to perform electronic component identification, configuration, assembly and other necessary activities Establish vendor relationships and maintain records that facilitate access to information regarding emerging components and technologies Prepare and deliver visual reports that demonstrate engineering solutions and designs to the broader team and clients Apply Design for Manufacture DFM/ Design for Assembly DFA principles and validation processes and provide valuable inputs to the product engineering projects (Specific to Mechanical position) Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for product development (Specific to Mechatronics position) To be successful, you’ll have: A Degree with subsequent relevant experience Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training Experience working in a related field or discipline in higher education or a similar large complex environment Good knowledge of OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) (Occupational Health and Safety) principles and an understanding of the requirements for safety when working with biological and chemical hazards Applications for this position close on Friday 19 July.
