Here, you can create, manage, and optimise the platforms used to power the Institutional Banking and Markets division. You'll have the opportunity to take responsibility for designing and driving continuous improvement and continuous deployment to ensure our systems are simpler, faster, and more secure. Do work that matters As a part of our ever evolving operating model, we are looking for 2 Senior Software Engineers with hands-on experience working in a public cloud in an agile environment. Here, you'll get to turn your passion into reality, working with new and modernising traditional technology stacks to enable a seamless and unrivalled customer experience. You'll also troubleshoot complex issues and play a mentoring role in providing technical assistance to the engineers in the team. Possess hands-on technical experience working in a public cloud environment (preferably AWS). Are passionate about Cloud/DevSecOps/Automation and have a powerful desire to solve complex problems in a systematic approach. Constantly think creatively and breaking boundaries to solve complex technical problems. Work well in teams and have strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improvement initiatives. Solid understanding of systems engineering fundamentals and best practices. We're interested in hearing from people who: Contribute to strategic programs of work. Utilise strong understanding of core business and technical strategies to deliver best business outcomes through technology. Lead and champion strategic practice development within team or platform. Role model best practices and industry standards. Take responsibility for nominated technical assets related to areas of expertise including roadmaps and technical direction. Mentor and up-skill other engineering teams across different crews Open to work in "24/7" model (participation in early shifts or weekend rosters will be required from time to time) Guide multiple teams on complex troubleshooting activity. Tech Skills: We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We do not expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team Mentoring and coaching capabilities, able to influence DevSecOps practices and mindsets in the crew. Strong experience in AWS including IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation. Proficient experience in CI/CD: GitHub/GitHub Actions, Ansible, TeamCity, Jenkins, Artifactory, Octopus Deploy etc. Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus/Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics. Practical knowledge on any programming language like Java/Python/Go and advanced SQL skills. Competent using the Docker and Kubernetes tools. Experience with Snowflake/RedShift and Apache Kafka is highly desirable. Experience using ETL tools such as Ab Initio, Talend, DBT, AWS Glue, Matillion is desirable.
