To better understand our Building Services group, please visit - Building Services - WSP Australia What you'll do People management - Lead a dynamic team of engineering and drafting professionals at our Canberra office. Develop long lasting client relationships and identify opportunities for business development. Contribute to the development and growth of the business unit, aligning efforts with local and national strategic goals. Offer technical expertise on a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects. Ensure the delivery of best practices and optimal outcomes for clients, emphasizing cost and time efficiency. Serve as a mentor to engineers within the team, providing guidance on both technical aspects and soft skills. Take the lead on medium to large-scale building engineering designs, as needed, and overseeing project resources and managing delivery. Effectively communicate with external stakeholders (clients, authorities) and internal counterparts (colleagues, managers). About you Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Established track record in delivering multidisciplinary projects in the building services industry and managing/building existing and new relationships in the private and public sector. Proficiency in various Building Services disciplines, enabling effective collaboration with team members and the evaluation of design solutions. Hold a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Engineering, or an equivalent field. Demonstrated experience in engineering consulting within the building services sector. Adept at applying Australian building codes and standards, familiarity with ACT projects and clients is advantageous. Proven ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize tasks, and meet challenging deadlines. Well-versed across diverse building sectors such as commercial, health, defence, and education. Possess Professional Engineer qualifications and/or Engineers Australia chartership. Knowledge of project finance and commercial aspects.
