Role Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of new software components, ensuring alignment with customer and business requirements. Act as a software architect, guiding technical choices and contributing to the overall solution design. Follow best design practices and software engineering principles to create safe, robust, and user-friendly products. Independently make design tradeoff decisions while working on multiple system components. Generate and review necessary documentation with project teams (requirements, design, architecture, bugs, tests). Translate user needs into design inputs and produce complex system-level designs. Collaborate with different Stryker divisions to leverage existing technologies. Review and update coding standards collaboratively. Guide the correction of complex design issues. Develop invention disclosures, patents, or trade secrets. Conduct technology exploration and influence its application in the business. Conduct advanced prototyping and testing. Mentor others on advanced engineering theories and principles. Requirements: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar. At least 7 years of professional experience in software platform development. Expertise in C++. Demonstrated understanding of architecture definition, SOLID Design Principles, and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design. Strong proficiency in both front-end and back-end development. Experience in developing and testing UI/UX functionality and integrating with application APIs. Experience in creating and executing test cases. Experience with DevSecOps tools like GitLab. Experience in building automated build pipelines and CMake-based multi-platform build systems. Knowledge of agile software principles and the software development life cycle. Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical topics succinctly. High level of commitment, service orientation, and a structured way of working. Bonus Requirements: Proficiency in Qt, VTK, CMake, and Python. Experience in the medical field and developing biomedical applications. Understanding of software as a medical device development requirement (ISO 13485, IEC EN 62304). Experience with linear algebra, image processing, mesh processing, and 3D visualization.
