About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Administration Officer to join our team at Garden Island (GI) Above Water Systems (AWS). In this role, you will assist the GI Security Officers in implementing and maintaining personnel, information, and physical protective security measures. You will ensure compliance with governance requirements for Thales-designated areas, which may be accredited by DSA under DISP arrangements and include commercial assets. Key Responsibilities: Support GI SOs in managing security aspects related to Thales AWS at Garden Island, coordinating with other GI security staff, security personnel, DORSC project, and project team members. Oversee the Thales Pass Office: issue new passes, deactivate staff leavers, manage the active pass register, control staff access into buildings via zone access requirements, update operating procedures, and liaise with the OEM to ensure the Thales Pass System remains operational. Assist Thales GI employees with all security and access-related needs, which may require flexible working hours and adherence to PPE requirements. Communicate effectively with all levels of AWS staff. Conduct sensitive security-related investigations when required. How about you? Knowledge and experience of security requirements within a Defence environment, including the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF). Experience in conducting security investigations. Strong influencing and diplomacy skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
