In return for your efforts, you will receive the following: Generous salary of $140.000 to $165.000 plus superannuation (depending on experience) Work life balance at one of a handful of quality engineering businesses Work within a well experienced team of engineers that develops its people Enjoy working in a business that fabricates on site Get paid for the time actually worked Enjoy extra time off, up to 6 weeks leave per year Weekly work attendance bonus Clean, neat and safe workshop Work on multiple interesting projects simultaneously See projects through the full project lifecycle Develop junior engineers and drafters The Role As the senior mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for: Providing efficient design solutions for process and products Detailed design work ranging from: Small component design to large plant, machinery, equipment, structures and vehicles Work on various project stages from R&D to design, manufacture, installation and commissioning Liaising with clients and project managers to establish scope of engineering activities Review Engineering Designs and plans Develop Project specifications Ensure Structural and Mechanical Designs are in accordance with Australian Standards Improvement and customization of existing lines according to customer needs Detailed design and drafting of process plant and mechanical equipment using Inventor Ability to produce concept designs through to detailed fabrication drawings Liaising with key players including design engineers, trades fabrication staff, project managers and customers You To be successful in the role you will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Demonstrable track record in a similar position – minimum ten years experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer Experience across multiple relevant industries Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment High level of competency in Australian industry standards and codes Exemplary communication both written and verbal Proven Team lead capabilities Competent in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering RPEQ or CPEng Desirable Diploma in Project Management Certification in CAD and FEA products Trade qualification Experience managing teams and projects Next Step If you are ready for the next step in your professional journey, then apply today.
