TAFE Teaching Role for a Cyber Security Teacher Full Time Fixed Term at 38 hours per week until 30 June 2025 Located at our Footscray Nicholson and St Albans Campuses but will include some opportunities for remote delivery About Us: Victoria University (VU) is a dual sector (higher education and TAFE) tertiary institution based in Melbourne, Australia. About the Role: As a member of our full-time teaching team you will be responsible for providing training and assessment across all Units we deliver in the Certificate IV of Cyber Security while also contributing to a range of activities that help us maintain an excellent experience for students. Duties An example of duties you may perform will include: Teaching and supervision of students up to 21 hours per week (max 800 hours per year) Undertaking formal assessment of student competency Personalising our existing learning resources to suit your own delivery style Maintaining accurate and timely records of attendance and results across multiple computer systems Undertaking pre-training reviews with potential students Tracking student progress and following-up students who disengage from the program Contributing to ongoing quality improvement through formal validations and team meetings Undertaking relevant professional development activities These positions are being offered at a 12 month fixed-term engagement for two experienced Cyber Security Teachers. Salary and Conditions of Employment: The full-time salary range is from $86,846 per annum to $110,121 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation and is dependent on experience and qualifications. Conditions of employment will be covered by the Victoria University's Vocational Teacher Enterprise Agreement 2019. These positions are located at our Footscray Nicholson and St Albans campuses but may be required to work at any of our other campuses. About you You will be a qualified or certified cyber security professional who is interested in sharing your knowledge and experience with the next generation of cyber warriors. Ideally you will have at least 5 years of practical experience working in an information security or cyber security role as well as having formal qualifications or industry certs in cyber security. Must hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or TAE40110 with required upskill units TAEASS502 and TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A.
