Then please read on Hawthorn Vet is looking for our next Vet Nurse champion to join the team What we need: Qualifications & Experience - Cert IV Vet Nursing, a minimum of 3 years in clinic experience. Technically proficient in all aspects of surgical and clinical nursing - For example, taking bloods, placing IV catheters, intubation, monitoring anaesthetics, processing in house laboratory samples (running bloods, urinalysis, preparing cytology sides), performing nurse consults (i.e. nail clips, anal gland expression, first aid & triage, and taking histories). If these values resonate with you then you resonate with us What we offer: A great work life balance - Opening hours are 8am-6:30pm weekdays, and 8am-1pm on Saturdays. We are closed Sundays and public holidays. We tend to refer after hours patients to dedicated afterhours emergency services. A supportive team - We are a clinic comprising of 4 vets, and 8 nurses. We generally have 2-3 vets on each day, and 4-5 nurses supporting them. Your Head Vet has 20 years experience and has been with Hawthorn Vet for 10 years and knows the clinic and it's clientele very well.
