See yourself in our team We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role in the Strategic Trade Reporting Team will report to the Engineering Manager and will involve a variety of software engineering tasks from inception thru automated testing and support as required to meet the needs of the global financial regulations today and in the future. We are transitioning to a AWS cloud technology stack over the next couple years and to a DevSecOps model where engineers are exposed to the full lifecycle from inception thru testing, delivery and support. Our software primarily uses Ab>Initio ETL suite and is stored on an oracle database all of which sits on top of a unix operating system. We also have an in house developed full stack Java (angular) GUI that interfaces with the data. We deal with a lot of complex files including various forms of xml and json. Our bespoke inhouse developed test automation harness is written in python and enables the majority of the testing to be automated. Collaborate within the team to apply the principles of design, development, testing, deployment, support, and evaluation. Develop high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage. Contribute to the technical design for system enhancements. Participate as member of software development team with minimal supervision and occasional guidance. Provide technical support and assistance to other non-technical members of the team. Participate in code reviews. Contribute in support and technical troubleshooting activity.
