Systems Administrator Objective: We are seeking a dedicated Systems Administrator to support our client's internal IT systems, on-premise and cloud infrastructure. Reporting to: Infrastructure Team Leader Responsibilities: Administer and support servers, network, and storage technologies. Provide top-tier IT support to internal staff. Proactively monitor infrastructure services daily to ensure uptime and meet patching requirements. Document IT systems and processes. Collaborate with the IT team to deliver key projects. Participate in a rotating on-call roster. Tackle difficult or demanding tasks requiring substantial effort and commitment. Meet increasing work challenges with resilience. Work on a wide range of IT projects. Continuously increase knowledge and skills as needed. Work effectively with technical and non-technical teams in a culturally diverse environment. Perform other IT duties as required. Essential Experience: Experience with AWS cloud services (Azure or Google Cloud Platform is an advantage). Proficiency in Windows Server 2012-2022 (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, NPS). Linux (Ubuntu/FreeBSD) expertise. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 cloud technology stack (Entra ID Hybrid, Power Platform, compliance, and purview). Microsoft SQL Server experience. Previous exposure to development tools such as logging & monitoring (e.g., PRTG). Experience with routing, switching, security appliances, and general networking equipment (e.g., Cisco/HP switches and routers, pfSense firewalls). Knowledge of cloud storage and backup solutions. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Desirable: Tertiary qualification in IT discipline (Uni/TAFE). Microsoft 365 certifications. AWS certifications. Proficiency in Powershell or Bash scripting.
