Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements from the start of Term 4, 2024, up to the end of Term 4, 2025. Suitable applicants will embrace our improvement agenda and strategic direction to implement whole school evidence-based teaching practices. They will have the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as a willingness to continuously grow their pedagogical skills. Demonstrated experience with the science of learning, explicit teaching strategies, TAPPLE, engagement norms, and daily review will be highly regarded. The school will continue to partner with Shaping Minds in 2025 to deliver high quality professional learning for teachers. Mount Hawthorn PS opened in 1906 and is situated on Whadjuk Noongar boodja. The school caters for 960 students in Kindergarten to Year 6 with four to six classes per year level, and offers exceptional opportunities for students in science, music, sport, Aboriginal culture, and visual art.
