As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer within our Energy360 team, you'll be at the forefront of this renewable energy revolution and be responsible for providing expert input into all aspects of engineering relating to Energy360's existing product range and new business. You will control the execution of works related to design and supply of engineering deliverables and developing key engineering systems to improve overall business efficiencies. We have created this new role to support the critical engineering function and deliver Australian market leading renewable gas solutions and are looking for someone with broad experience in skid based equipment manufacturing and process engineering. What you'll be doing: Creating project design plans which include determination, management and executive of works related to design and supply of engineering deliverables and resource requirements. Design engineering relating to biogas plants and fuel fired equipment including but not limited to: Process Design; heat and mass balances; process flow diagrams; combustion calculations including emissions estimates; air/flue gas sizing; wastewater systems including pump selection; condensate removal equipment. Thermal Design; heat transfer equipment sizing and selection; equipment linings and heat loss calculations. Detailed mechanical/structural calculations for process skids and associated equipment sizing; sizing of skid members; determination of load distribution; lifting attachments; piping and equipment supports. Detailed hydraulic calculations for process skids and associated equipment and plant layouts. Control system engineering; process and instrumentation diagrams; control systems functional descriptions; cause and effect matrix; SAMA diagrams; instrumentation specification and/or selection. Driving revenue and profitability in the business by supporting proposals and active projects with effective engineering services. Managing the in interface between Engineering, Health & Safety, Delivery, Procurement, Production and site installation team ensuring key components are supplied at the required times. This might include managing piping schedules, sub-contractors, Bills of Materials, QA documentation and expediting of equipment and materials. Ensuring safety in design principles are utilised wherever engineering work may have downstream impact on the safety of people, property or the environment. What you'll bring: Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineer, as well as CPEng status recognised by Engineers Australia, coupled with industry experience in engineering design roles, specifically in design and manufacture of skid assembled process equipment. Experience in combustion and/or thermal process equipment, including flares and biogas systems including site commissioning. Experience working in cross disciplinary delivery teams and taking the lead engineering role where required. High proficiency in 3D modelling software (Inventor and AutoCAD) as well as demonstrated capability in project management and design. Proven interpersonal skills with high quality written and verbal communication skills that can be utilised across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
