We are seeking an experienced Construction & Major Projects Lawyer with 5-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our client's expert team. In this role, you will provide specialised legal advice on construction and infrastructure projects, working closely with clients to navigate the complexities of major developments. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and driving successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Client Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice on all aspects of construction and major projects, including contract negotiations, risk management, and compliance. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including EPC, D&C, and PPP agreements, ensuring alignment with client objectives and legal standards. Project Development: Advise on project development from inception to completion, including planning, procurement, financing, and delivery. Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with construction projects, providing proactive solutions to potential issues. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with key stakeholders, including developers, contractors, subcontractors, financiers, and regulatory authorities, to facilitate smooth project execution. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, advising clients on best practices and legal obligations. Project Documentation: Prepare and review all necessary documentation for project financing, insurance, and regulatory approvals. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver comprehensive legal solutions. Business Development: Support business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities, participating in client pitches, and contributing to thought leadership. Legal Research: Stay abreast of legal developments and industry trends in construction law to provide informed advice and innovative solutions. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate in the relevant jurisdiction. 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in construction and major projects law. Proven track record of handling complex construction contracts and major projects. In-depth knowledge of construction law, regulations, and industry practices. Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Experience in dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
