The Legal Counsel - Technology will be pivotal in providing robust legal guidance and support within the firm's technology practice. This role involves advising on a wide range of legal matters, from contracts and intellectual property to data privacy and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Lead legal initiatives and provide counsel on technology-focused issues. Draft, review, and negotiate complex technology agreements and contracts. Advise on intellectual property protection, licensing, and innovation strategies. Ensure compliance with global data privacy laws and cybersecurity standards. Support business development efforts by evaluating legal risks and opportunities. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate legal considerations into business decisions. Monitor regulatory developments impacting the technology sector and implement necessary adjustments. Manage dispute resolution and litigation matters, leveraging strong negotiation skills and legal acumen. Conduct continuous legal research and deliver training to enhance internal stakeholders' legal awareness. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years PQE as a Legal Counsel with a focus on technology or related sectors. LLB or equivalent from a reputable law school in Australia, coupled with a current practising certificate. Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
