Join our Digital Learning and Transformation team to unleash your creative flair, crafting engaging online resources that enhance the learning experience. The Role Reporting directly to the Manager of Digital Learning and Transformation, the Digital Learning Designer will collaborate with educators and child and adolescent psychologists to transform written content into engaging and accessible online/blended learning. Working with our AFL partner, they will assist in developing e-safety material for deployment across schools in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Additionally, they will review, develop, and implement e-learning across projects to support business initiatives and strategies. This position will create specialised instructional designs and technologically advanced learning solutions for online teaching and learning to maintain a constantly evolving e-learning environment. This is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months. See attached position description for full details. What you need to bring Essential Relevant degree level qualification or equivalent training and work-related experience. Knowledge of instructional design and its intersection with online learning environments. Understand and implement principles of good visual/graphic design. An ability to problem-solve and contribute creative ideas in a team environment. An understanding of adult learning principles, learning theories and instructional design approaches. A developed knowledge of online teaching technologies, eLearning authoring tools, and digital design software, and an understanding of their suitability for different learning outcomes and audiences. Ability to plan and manage time to achieve key outcomes. Willingness to work alongside practitioners, educators, and people with lived experience. Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check. Ability and availability to do some work outside of standard hours when required Desirable Tertiary qualification in educational technology, industrial / training design or similar OR Certificate IV in TAE40116 Certificate IV - Training & Assessment OR TAESS00018 Deliver E-learning Skill Set. Extensive and proven work experience in instructional design. Experience with audio recording tools, editing video and a knowledge of basic animation. An understanding of the social and community service sector. An understanding of mental. health and psychosocial support would be particularly valued. Knowledge of trauma-informed practice or a willingness to learn. Understanding or knowledge of the VET sector.
