An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a dynamic Automation Engineer to be responsible for the planning of project activities, troubleshooting & supporting technical issues with experience in Siemens PCS7. About the Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Projects Manager, key duties include the following: Responsible for design, installation and testing of the Process Control System (Siemens PCS7) and MES Systems and their integration into vendor supplied systems. Ensure systems are designed, implemented & tested in accordance with project standards. Troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues in a timely manner and providing SME input. Interface with the user community to support project implementation prior to project initiation. Effectively liaise with key stakeholders including Automation, Engineering, IT, QA & other departments. About you The successful candidate will have the following skills & experience: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering. Minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Execution Systems/Automation design & support. Sound knowledge & experience with automation systems with a preference for Siemens PCS7. Experience in working with complex DCS/PCS /Automation projects with integrated MES systems. Knowledge of SCADA/PLC, PCS integration with IT networks and infrastructure is preferred Sound problem solving skills Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills.
