We seek a qualified A-grade industrial electrician for our client located in Thomastown. Our client is a privately owned Australian company providing premium-quality poultry products throughout Australia. We seek a qualified A-grade industrial electrician for our client located in Thomastown. You will support the Engineering Manager and the Production team by providing quality and efficient maintenance services. You will be working on-site in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) food production environment, a live bird site involving meat products. Availability during planned maintenance times, breakdowns, and installation of new equipment is required. Shifts available: Afternoon & night shift Responsibilities Organising and maintaining the day-to-day running of the site's production lines, associated plant/equipment, and fixed property. Maintaining a preventative maintenance program to ensure minimal unplanned stoppages and breakdowns. Keeping accurate records of corrective and periodical/planned maintenance procedures. Working during afternoon and night shifts. Requirements A minimum of 4 year’s experience in a similar role. The ability to work autonomously as part of a small maintenance team. A current electrical license with strong skills in fault finding and repair on production machinery. Previous experience in an FMCG environment with an understanding of good manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements. Experience identifying areas for improvement and following these through from plan to result. Prior experience working in a manufacturing site as a sole site electrician on production lines and standalone production equipment. Full working rights. Familiarity with high-speed packing machines, conveyors, sensors, packers, etc. Ability to execute and adhere to Preventative Maintenance programs. Knowledge of motor control, basic PLCs, and VSDs.
