Where you'll be working You will be the frontline of the Emergency Department, assisting patients and their relatives navigate their first steps in their journey within our Healthcare facility at St George. What you'll be doing The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’ . Reception and registration of all patients presenting to the Emergency Department for treatment and carrying out admission procedures and paperwork for those patients requiring admission to an inpatient bed. Administration staff within the Emergency Department play a pivotal role in promoting the use of private health insurance by providing accurate and timely information about private health insurance use in a public hospital. It is the duty of all staff to maintain a high level of customer focus and public relations and to maintain a professional attitude towards staff, patients and visitors. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing. All Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant. Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.
