As a Legal Counsel specialising in superannuation, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice and support to the firm's financial services clients. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert legal advice on superannuation, financial services, and regulatory compliance. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, policies, and agreements related to superannuation. Advise clients on the legal implications of superannuation reforms and regulatory changes. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Conduct legal research and analysis to support client advisory services. Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops on superannuation-related legal matters. Assist in the resolution of disputes and litigation related to superannuation. Liaise with regulatory authorities and industry bodies on behalf of clients. Prepare and present reports, opinions, and recommendations to clients and senior management. Monitor and interpret changes in superannuation law and regulations, providing proactive advice to clients. Contribute to thought leadership and business development initiatives in the superannuation sector. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in superannuation law. Foster strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support. Qualifications: Laws degree from a recognised university. Admission to practice as a solicitor in Australia. Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in superannuation or financial services law ideally within a noted practice group. Strong understanding of superannuation legislation, regulations, and industry standards. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
