The role: Assist staff making and changing beds; toileting, showering or bathing for non-ambulatory, heavy or physically compromised patients. Assist nursing staff in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) as required. Participate in patient care and monitoring under the direct supervision of nursing staff. Contribute to the accurate transmission of patient information by participation in daily handover meetings. Maintain medical gas supplies. Orient newly employed staff in local procedures, techniques and policies and assist with their familiarisation to Northside Mental Health Clinic. Responsible for the evacuation of patients in the case of fire, gas leak or bomb threat as directed by the Unit’s Warden/s. Details of Appointment Fixed term, casual, shift-worker positions working as and when required, commencing from as soon as possible for 12 months. notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies. Salary: $65,236 to $68,925 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
