THE ROLE The Admissions and Scholarships Operations team is seeking a Team Leader to lead and develop a high performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to enhance their leadership skills and expand their knowledge in managing the undergraduate and postgraduate coursework scholarships for international and domestic students. Reporting to the Manager, Admissions and Scholarships Operations, this role will: Oversee a team responsible for efficient and accurate processing, tracking, and managing scholarship applications, assessments, payments, records, protocols, and communications, and ensure the timely and compliant application of the University's scholarship policies, procedures, relevant standards, and legislation. Provide an escalation point for complex scholarship cases and advice on University's scholarship policies and processes, and relevant legislation and regulations. Collaborate with Faculties, Offices and other internal stakeholders, prospective students, Agents and external providers regarding scholarship assessment, eligibility, processing, and communications. Oversee scholarship financial disbursement and reconciliation of scholarship funds to successful international and domestic students. Oversee compliance with complex financial aid offerings including US Financial Aid and Australia Award programs. Review new scholarship and other financial agreements ensuring they are compliant, and that sponsor commitment is viable. Preparation of reports, reports correspondence/information and recommendations for internal and external use and informed management decision making. Develop and maintain end-to-end knowledge and skills in a range of scholarship programs and compliance requirements and ensure effective development of staff capability and training. Lead projects and initiatives that support the University's scholarship program, scholarship process and systems improvement. Attend and represent the University at meetings, functions, information sessions and other forums in support of the University scholarship program. About You You will be an enthusiastic and energetic individual with experience in managing a team and keen interest in developing and supporting staff to deliver a high level of quality service in a high-volume team environment. You will have highly developed data reporting and analytic skills, including experience in using Smartsheet, PowerBi and Excel Power Query. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and business stakeholders at multiple levels in the organisation. You will be a self-starter and enjoy working in a dynamic environment as a team player, are motivated by the outcomes and challenges.
