We are seeking an experienced mechanical/mechatronics/civil engineer with an interest and capability in Smart Network and Diagnostic and Prognostic Maintenance projects. You will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, supporting critical projects within the water utilities sector. Your role will be project-focused, and you'll collaborate across multiple initiatives to ensure successful delivery of engineering and technical outcomes. This is an exciting 12 month contracting opportunity attracting an excellent hourly rate. Extension options possible. About the Role Project Management: Work on key projects, including the Smart Network (SN) and Diagnostic and Prognostic Maintenance (DPM) initiatives. Coordinate engineering and technical capabilities to achieve project goals. Provide subject matter expertise (SME) support to project teams. Technical Expertise: Apply domain knowledge in areas such as: General engineering principles Control and instrumentation IoT technologies SCADA systems Network communications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and monitor water systems. About You Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Civil Engineering Familiarity with Domain/Technologies such as: IoT Systems: Smart instrumentation/devices Network communications Familiarity with Infrastructure such as: SCADA Cellular communication Narrowband IoT (NBIoT) WAN (both physical and logical) Familiarity with Software: SCADA software Data acquisition tools Cloud platforms Industrial Systems: Experience in utilities, energy, or mining sectors advantageous.
