If so, this could be your next great role Rabobank has an opening for a Cyber Threat & Vulnerability Engineer. This is a newly created role based in Sydney where our Cyber Security team is based. The Cyber Security team is a highly engaged team working a hybrid mix of 1-2 days in the office & other days from home. The Cyber Threat & Vulnerability Engineer is a hands-on technical role where you will make risk-based assessments of threats & vulnerabilities based on knowledge of the bank's environment. You will provide ready to implement remediations & mitigations to application, service & infrastructure owners. In addition, you will use your technical expertise & understanding of how individual vulnerabilities work to make sure remediations & mitigations are technically sound & consistent across the organisation. Top Role Accountabilities: Build generic remediation solutions to vulnerabilities & provide those solutions to application & infrastructure teams in the form of advisory documentation Assess vulnerabilities for risk in our environment based on a thorough understanding of our application stacks, in conjunction with current threat landscape & threat actor information from threat intelligence, & apply additional CVSS score modifiers accordingly Work closely with Vulnerability Analysts to ensure consistency of solutions across our environment Advise & assist application & infrastructure teams with complex vulnerability mitigations & remediations Build custom detections & mitigations for critical 0-day vulnerabilities Review vulnerability remediation solutions & mitigations provided by vendors & other teams to make sure they are technically sound & have the desired effect in our environment To be successful you will have: Minimum of 5 years' experience as an IT professional in a relevant area. Experience in a combination of system engineering roles, application support roles or cyber security roles preferred Thorough knowledge of common concepts, standards & frameworks in vulnerability management, such as CVSS Good understanding of modern application design Excellent understanding of Windows & Linux operating systems Comfortable coding in common scripting languages, particularly Bash, Python & PowerShell Deep understanding of how computers & operating systems function.
