About the Opportunity In this role, you will report to the Engineering Superintendent and work on an 8:6 roster as part of our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. Your focus will be on delivering capital and upgrade projects across both operations and mining. Your primary responsibilities will include: Initiating projects, preparing estimates for budgets, and justifying projects for AFE (Authorisation for Expenditure) submission. Managing the project lifecycle from scoping and detailed design through to construction, commissioning, and handover. Maintaining cost control throughout project phases and ensuring successful project delivery. Supervising contractors and inspecting project work to ensure adherence to quality standards. Providing mechanical engineering expertise to operations and maintenance teams, covering standards, procedures, equipment strategies, condition monitoring, and failure analysis. Maintaining a safe working environment by conducting risk assessments, JSAs, investigations, and enforcing site procedures and safety protocols. About You Our preferred candidate will have a strong background in similar project engineering roles, including experience in supervising high-risk work. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: A tertiary degree in mechanical engineering. Membership with Engineers Australia. Experience working within heavy industry or mineral processing plants. Exposure to underground and / or open-pit mining operations.
