About the role As Senior Mining Engineer at Lake Vermont, you will be responsible for the development and rollout of efficient mining plans, schedules and excavator dig and dump designs. As the facilitator of the planning process, the role requires strong collaboration with key stakeholders. This role will also work with the corporate and client mine planning teams to provide designs, and schedules to support the execution of the mine plan. Additionally, you will: Optimise designs, schedules and fleet mix across the planning horizon to deliver for the business and client, Work closely with the corporate and client mine planning teams to coordinate the Thiess plan, Work with key stakeholders on short-term planning & operational issues, Communicate any changing plans across the wider team, Develop strong working relationships with the operations team, Weekly and Monthly production reporting, Lead, coach and mentor team members About you Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Minimum 3 years' operational mining engineering experience (open cut preferred). Experience with MS Office, Vulcan, XPAC or SPRY, Deswik, 3D Dig or similar software Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment. Experience leading and developing teams A commitment to the best practice of health and safety at all times Excellent behavioural, time management, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
