Parklife JV is seeking an ambitious Site Engineer to become a crucial part of our team on this major project The Parklife Metro Consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney. This city shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership, will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney. WeBuild as a D&C Contractor member, will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project, and we are currently looking to appoint an ambitious Site Engineer to support the St Marys project team. Benefits: Work on one of the biggest projects in Western Sydney that will pave the way for your career Growth and development opportunities Competitive remuneration package For our Western Sydney applicants, work close to home The Opportunity: As a Site Engineer, your responsibilities are to plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, manage subcontractors, interface with design management and construction delivery team on site. Responsibilities : Managing concrete pours Undertaking QA on reinforcement and concrete Contribute to a safe work culture and ensure works are delivered to legislative and project standards Undertake sec put checks and verification Review and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements Identify project challenges and drive the development and implementation of solutions Liaise, communicate and plan with the foreman and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes Ensure project delivery is compliant with project standards Ensure works are delivered to quality standards and complete all relevant documentation Participate in and maintain cost management of daily activities. Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers. Assist in the preparation of daily meetings, weekly reports, 3-week lookahead programs, etc. as required. Monitor the progress and quality of works by conducting inspections, taking photos, and reporting back to the Project Engineer & Senior Project Engineer as necessary. Ensure allocated work packages and resources are managed to ensure costs are within or below budget, and contribute to the achievement of project targets Criteria: The ideal candidate will have a background in buildings/construction in large & complex reinforced concrete structures within the Tier 1 main contractor industry. In addition to this, you will also need to have: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering 2 years experience minimum within the Construction industry Previous exposure to building and structures projects Experience utilising Bluebeam, Microsoft Office programs and planning software Can read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, reinforcing steel bending schedules
