This role is responsible for leading the Off-Premise sales team, with a clear focus on growing the business profitably, embedding our company culture, values and developing future talent. You must combine the strategic nature of the role with hands-on executional excellence. From a strategic perspective, the role demands the development of multi-year business plans, channel and trade sales & profit plans as well as the delivery of category and shopper insights. From an executional perspective, the Sales Director is responsible for the activation of the marketing & sales plans in all channels to grow share, deliver top and bottom-line growth, and lead a strong Joint Planning process in Strategic Key Accounts. The scope of the role is National, so ensuring central functions collaborate and communicate seamlessly with State field functions is critical. Finally, the role sits on the Australian Leadership Team (ALT) and is therefore integral to setting strategic direction and tone for the business as well as alignment with regional and international stakeholders to build influence and gain favorable decisions from global stakeholders whilst also exporting best practice. RESPONSIBILITIES Areas that play to your strengths All the responsibilities we'll trust you with: Expand all KEY ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT Deliver volume, net revenue, profit, and market share in line with the annual business plans Lead negotiation of key customer agreements (trade terms management) and overall channel profitability. Advanced level joint value negotiation skills required at senior Key Account level. Work on long term collaborative planning with key strategic customers to implement annual joint business plans TRADE MANAGEMENT Understanding and implementation of complete in field excellence (the 'perfect store') Optimise the most effective RTM ensuring maximum distribution and efficiency Thorough understanding of Category Management, shopper and consumer insights in order to formulate strong conceptual selling techniques Build a network of senior level customer and trade contacts BUSINESS PLAN DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTION Effective development, alignment, and implementation of the annual business plan. Budget Management: Net Revenue, Trade Investments, Trade Marketing and Indirects budgets PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP Lead the overall Off-Premise Sales department, embedding company values and culture, whilst also driving engagement and performance across all teams. Contribute to the Australian Leadership Team (ALT), playing an active role in leading the Australian business to key, significant achievements Management and development of talent with focus on succession planning across all sales roles CROSS FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION Lead collaboration across the business to implement the right marketing & sales mix of initiatives and activations Effective cross departmental collaboration across the business to deliver world class 360' plans. EXPERIENCE Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role: Extensive experience leading large (100 headcount) blue-chip sales teams, preferably across multiple channels, including distributor partners. Key Account Management and Field Sales experience required. Experience in Category Management preferred. Cross-functional experience in Trade Marketing & Consumer Marketing. Account Development skills: Demonstrate a thorough 360 degree understanding of the whole account management cycle across all relevant customer functions Budgetary control: Proven track record in managing a budget with direct trade spend and indirect spend. People management and leadership: Ability to Lead, coach and manage direct report team and embed values through the Off-Premise organisation Brand leadership: Continually engage peers, consumers and customers on Red Bull brand philosophy Commercial acumen: Strong understanding of sales processes, financial systems and best practice.
