1 X Part time / Casual - 2-3 days per fortnight based in Springwood, Brisbane Salary for permanent Part-time $35-$40phr depending on experience About the role Scope Healthcare is a multidisciplinary specialist clinic group involved in Respiratory, Sleep Disorders and Cardiology services with its Head Office based in Melbourne. We are looking for a Respiratory & Sleep Scientist to join our Sleep Scope team and assist in setting up & running our LFT room in our soon to be opened site in Springwood, Brisbane. This is a Part time or Casual position to initially work 2-3 days a fortnight with the ability to extend hours as the clinic grows. Tasks & responsibilities To provide high quality Respiratory and Sleep Diagnostic services to the patients, doctors and staff in our Sleep Scope practice location in a caring and supportive manner. To perform high quality Respiratory/Lung Function Tests for patients with (or suspected of having) respiratory dysfunction, including spirometry and measurement of lung volumes. To assist patients with Home Based Sleep study units. To perform all tests to company standards. Calibration and preparation and ensuring required maintenance is performed of all equipment Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and practices relevant to the specialty. Some administration work will be required. Requirements Qualifications & experience Must have full working rights in Australia without any restrictions. Bachelor of Science Degree or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent. Qualified Respiratory/Sleep Scientist would be highly regarded Highly experienced in Lung Function Testing & Spirometry is essential Clinical experience in respiratory &/or sleep testing is highly regarded. Previous qualifications in healthcare, science, and/or previous experience in pulmonary function testing are desirable but not essential. Requires skills in operating computer-based, specialised testing equipment and must be able to interact with and encourage patients to achieve maximal performance on tests. Highly regarded: Registration and Certification as a Respiratory Scientist with the Australia and New Zealand Thoracic Society (ANZSRS) Benefits We offer competitive salary that is reflective of the market standards and commensurate with your experience.
