Your part in it Due to internal progression, we have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Software/Data Engineer to join a hardworking and collaborative team. You will play a crucial role in building and expanding our Azure-hosted data and analytics environment, utilizing tools such as DataBricks, Data Factory, and Synapse Analytics. Your work will span across various business lines including Retail, Trading, Power Generation, IT, and Corporate. What you'll put into it Building end-to-end data pipelines across the Azure Data Lake and Databricks Warehouse, with activities including data staging, ELT/ETL, data quality, archiving, and testing Working with project and BAU teams to deliver work drawn down from backlogs; identifying and resolving blockers Participating actively in their domain of expertise contributing to Data Engineering capability development Assisting with solutions design to meet business, technical and user requirements Facilitating user acceptance test and drive it to completion. What you'll bring to it Experience with Databricks, Python, Scala, or Java against large-scale, cloud-based data warehouses using big-data frameworks like Spark, Kafka, Hive, and Map-Reduce Experience with metadata-based ELT frameworks Comfortable working in DevOps teams and familiar with DevOps/SRE principles Proven ability to build trust, respect, and cooperation among teams through effective collaboration and communication Experience collaborating with data engineers on best practices, design, solutioning, code review, and quality assurance.
