Overview: Full-time, 12-month fixed term position. Work closely with key stakeholders to advise, develop/ design optimal workforce designs. Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working About the role The Organisational Design Lead focuses on working closely with key stakeholders to advise, develop/ design optimal workforce designs with focus on organisational structures which have longevity and are built on sound principles e.g. considerations for span, layers, capabilities, levels, business context and process / technology improvements. The Organisational Design Lead will work closely with the Director, People Partnering and Executive Director, Service Excellence to support and implement People-based outcomes in support of university-wide initiatives. The role will also facilitate the implementation of full change cycle from impact assessments, through to implementing new ways of working as required. A key focus is to ensure the right support is provided to People Partners by working collaboratively with them to drive consistency in how the university approaches workforce design, balancing risk management with pragmatic recommendations. To be successful in this position, you'll have: Demonstrable experience as an organisational design specialist or a strong generalist HR practitioner with an understanding of organisational design Commercial acumen in decision making and advice, supported by a demonstrated record of success in providing a high level of advice and support at an executive level. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to convert complex information into understandable and simplified yet comprehensive themes. Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively to foster deep, trust-based relationships and effectively share information. Strong analytical skills and the courage and ability to constructively challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a People/HR organisation or team and with a varied group of stakeholders across a complex University landscape.
