A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager to drive a small team of creative designers specialising in Childrenswear Design Manager (Kidswear) Manage the design team and ensure they are designing high-street fashion from birth to teen. Working closely with the team you will be involved in all aspects of the business from initial concept to finished product and ensure the business is providing high quality latest fashion to their customers. This business is poised for the next phase of its evolution and is currently going through an exciting period of growth. It is a great time for an experienced Design Manager with previous experience driving the profitability of a childrenswear department. To be successful you will need to be able to demonstrate the key skills and experience: Experience operating as an established Design Manager within Apparel Established experience within Childrenswear Strong experience managing product timelines Manage and lead the design team to ensure we are providing the best service for all customers Delegating work where necessary and reviewing that work when it has been completed Research trends, this includes producing trend boards and creating innovative ideas and designs and putting them into a context that the rest of the team and the client/customer can understand Experience building commercially profitable ranges Strong hands-on department management experience; product development and critical path, supply base, trading, working cross-functionally with sales and production teams Management experience of direct reports would be ideal; training and developing Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management both internally and externally MS Office and IT skills Due to the high number of applicants, only shortlisted candidates are guaranteed to be contacted.
