Our Brisbane Telecommunications Wireless and Special Coverage Solutions team requires a Construction Manager to oversee on-site construction activities, manage construction crews and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Manage project schedules, identify critical path activities, adjusting schedules and escalations when required Estimate project costs accurately, track expenses and manage cost variances against budget Plan and schedule field resources (internal workforce & subcontractors) to deliver the construction activities incl. defects Optimise resource utilisation, and minimise downtime, delays, and cost overruns Organise equipment, and materials to support construction activities Provide on-site supervision and leadership to FMs, construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and compliant to technical specifications, building codes, and regulations Monitor progress against project plans, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and quality of work and ensuring defects are closed out for client payment Build a strong high performing team, aligned to our purpose and enterprise strategic objectives Required Skills and Experience Ideally you will have experience in a similar role in Telecommunications / Construction industry. Proven experience in construction scheduling/planning with proficiency in PM tools & methodologies Strong analytical & Problem-Solving skills to analyse performance metrics and mitigate schedule risks Experience in managing large, geographically dispersed teams and conflict resolution Understanding building codes, and OSHA regulations and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment Strong understanding of construction principles, techniques, and materials Ability to interpret and implement architectural and engineering drawings and specifications Excellent relationship management and engagement with clients About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
