MARS Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Social Worker to join our client's team in Northern Adelaide. This role involves working within the Adult Mental Health - Perinatal Mental Health unit to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment services for community mental health consumers, aiming to optimise health outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality social work services, using professional knowledge and skills to assess, interpret findings, and implement intervention plans with consumers, their families, carers, and other health professionals. Manage non-routine clinical situations with reduced supervision, involving complex problem-solving and professional decision-making. Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team and liaise with medical, nursing staff, and other community agencies. Participate in daily multi-disciplinary handover meetings, team meetings, and liaise with care coordinators and clinical coordinators in community mental health teams. Ensure consistent documentation with service policies and undertake comprehensive discharge planning with other team members. Engage in continuous professional development through departmental programs and contribute to divisional administration, procedures, policies, quality improvement activities, research, and performance enhancement. Provide training and supervision to undergraduate and work experience social work students, demonstrating professional behaviour and clinical reasoning. Contribute to the development of efficient work practices and a culture of continuous quality improvement. Delivering goal-directed, time-limited care while supporting efficient clinical flow in the Acute Inpatient Service. Requirements: Qualified Social Worker with relevant tertiary qualifications. A current member of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) with 2years experience in mental health. National Police Check (NPC), Working with Children Check (WWCC) COVID-19 Vaccinations Immunisation Catogory A Experience working in perinatal setting. Key Relationships: Accountable to the Nurse Unit Manager for operational clinical outcomes and to the Principal Social Worker through the Senior Social Worker for professional practice and development. Work collaboratively with the Allied Health multi-disciplinary team and liaise with external providers, government departments, NGOs, patients' families and carers.
