Key Responsibilities: System Design and Analysis: Design and analyse power systems for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and energy storage. Perform load flow, short circuit, stability, and reliability studies to ensure optimal system performance. Develop and validate models of power system components and networks. Project Development and Support: Collaborate with project teams to develop technical specifications and requirements for power system components. Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of projects. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new projects. Grid Integration: Evaluate and optimise the integration of renewable energy sources into the grid. Assess grid impacts and develop mitigation strategies to ensure stability and reliability. Liaise with grid operators and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with grid codes and standards. Technical Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Proven experience in power systems engineering, preferably within the renewable energy sector. Strong understanding of power system analysis tools and software (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP). Knowledge of grid codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for renewable energy integration. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
